Sorry its been a few weeks giving a report, its been a busy spring , now its getting close to summer when my busy season kicks in . This time of year brings big changes with fishing inshore and offshore as water temps reach 80 degrees things get a little slower on the bite . Inshore redfish are scattered feeding in the grass for crabs and shrimp these fish tend to be a little fatter than the ones feeding along oyster bars on mullet, pinfish,pigfish etc. also trout are in the deeper holes feeding on pigfish and sometimes cutbait ,you can throw some jerk baits or topwater early in the day somedays with results . Offshore change is also closing in, its the time of  year when bait pods move up the coast sharks will follow most reefs will have lots of reef sharks ,barracuda ,and jacks . Getting to the better fish is the trick or also once you hook one  getting them to the boat before  something else gets it is a real challenge .I always try and catch bait off the closer reefs with sabaki rigs then head for other reefs to score some good action ,or bring some small baits from inside with you like greenies ,mullet , or pinfish .Sharks are a summertime favorite for most clients they are always a sure bet on nearshore reefs they range from 10pounds to 70 pounds and can be targeted on the surface . Also this time of year is great tarpon fishing giving alot of action these fish can be caught along the beaches in baitpods and also the bridges hold alot of nice fish freeline is the best method for catching these fish.
